1. Brixen-Dolomites-Marathon

Categories
Single: W-M 18/20/30/35/40/45/50/55/60/65/70 and older (the first three of each category will be awarded)
Relay: men –women– mixed (the first three of each category will be awarded)
At mixed (minimum 1woman)
If until July 1st there are not 5 participants for a category, the categories will be put together. Juniors go into the next higher category, all others go in the younger category.
Participation permission – medical certificate
Runners from the age group 1992 and older (minimum age 18) can participate. By signing the registration form the runner accepts the rules and regulations and has a valid medical certificate. For all regulations not mentioned in this invitation the international regulations of FIDAL, CONI and ICMR are applied.
Health
Only well-trained runners can handle this alpine challenge. We rely on the sense of responsibility and the common sense of participants (a Brixen Dolomites Marathon will take place every year from now on).
Route
Start in Brixen-South Tyrol (560 m) –finish on the Plose (2,450 m)
Running- in part from Brixen to Milland (asphalt road) over Mellaun to St. Andrä/ valley station of cable car (hiking and forest trail) – 1st changing station (1.060 m). Further on towards Afers – 2nd changing station (1.500 m). partly on hiking and forest trails and asphalt road to Schatzer Hut (1.990 m) and to Skihut (1.900 m) over to Kreuztal/summit station of cable car(2.050 m) – 3rdchanging station. Hiking trail to Ochsenalm (2.080 m) and final ramp to the Plose plateau and the Plose (2.450 m).
Start: cathedral square Brixen at 8.30 a.m.
Altitude difference: tot. ca. 1.890 m
lenght: 42,195 km
finish end: 3.30 p.m.
relay run: teams of 4 people (ca. 10 km – ca. 8 km – ca. 16 km – ca. 8 km)
Registration
The registration takes place online on
www.brixenmarathon.it , the payment of the starting fee at the registration. Alternatively there is the possibility to register in written via registration form. The registration form can be sent via fax or e-mail. Only forms that are completely filled in and signed by the participant will be accepted. Applications via phone are not possible. The registration is only valid after the payment of the starting fee.
Registration deadline
Friday, 2nd July 2010, 8.00 p.m.
From 1st July 2010 registrations will only be possible on site. Written and online registrations will not be accepted then any more.

Payment with online registration
The event organizer suggests using online registration with its various payment facilities. The payment can be via credit cards, LSV or bank transfer. At the registration via internet, the possibility of a facultative rescission insurance is offered. In case of illness or accident the starting fee is refunded.
Payment with registration via fax or mail
The payment can also be effectuated in Italy via money/postal order or bank transfer. For all other nations a crossed cheque, bank transfer or payment via internet is required.

A copy of the payment must be sent with the registration form tot he organizers!
The registration is only valid after the payment of the starting fee. Please do not forget to specify the reason at the bank transfer: “registration fee Brixen Dolomites Marathon” as well as name, surname and birth date of the participant in order to avoid misunderstandings.
Registration change /cancellation
Changes of any kind are only possible until 25.06.2010. People who at their online registration have issued an insurance get back their registration fee from the insurance.
People who have not issued an insurance can send a medical certificate to the organizer within 30.06.2010. The registration fee will not be refunded in this case but kept for the following year.
Time measuring-Chip
The lending fee for the time measuring chip (Transponder) is included in the registration fee. Chips that are not handed back will be charged to the participant 30,00 EUR.
Distribution of start numbers
Forum Brixen, Romstraße 9 on Friday from 1.00 pm – 8.00 pm and on Saturday from 6.00 am – 8.00 am

All women: rank 1 –rank 5
All men: rank 1 –rank 10
Services
Marathon infrastructure, bus service to start area and to changing area, luggage transport to finish area, medal, certificate (online), finisher t-shirt, pasta party, catering from start to finish.
On race day the start number is valid as ticket for the cable car St. Andrä – Kreuztal – St. Andrä.

How to get there
by car: Brenner motorway – coming from north take the exit Vahrn/Varna, coming from south take the exit Klausen / Chiusa
by train: Brenner railway – station Brixen /Bressanone
Insurance and liability
The event organizer cannot be held responsible for any loss, injury or damage to people or items. There is no liablility for lost items. Place of jurisdiction: Brixen/Bressanone.
Important
The event organizer refuses any liability for possible damage or accidents before, during and after the race.
Way back on foot to the summit station Kreuztal, from there by cable car, and from St. Andrä by bus to the city of Brixen (Forum Brixen).
In case of bad weather or dangerous conditions the event organizer has the right to change to an alternative track. The race takes place in all weathers.
